The Pendle Triathlon Club will be setting up a junior section, with training starting last this month.
Sessions begin on Thursday, February 25th from 6-7 p.m. at Fisher More School, Colne.

With less than 100 days to go, plans are also in place to hold the annual Pendle Triathlon event on May 8th.
For the first time, three competitions will be held.
The traditional distance event, consisting of 750m swim, 22km cycle and a 5km run (competitors must be 15 by the December 31st, 2016), a sprint triathlon event consisting of 400m swim, 22km cycle and a 5km run (competitors must again be 15 by December 31st) and a GoTri Event consisting of 250m swim, 11km cycle and a 2.5km run (competitors must be 14 by December 31st).
The events are being sponsored by Razamataz.com and GoVelo.co.uk
In conjunction with this event, West Craven Leisure Centre (Pendle Leisure Trust) is running a boot camp every Wednesday evening between 8-9 p.m. to help prepare.

This year will also see the return of open water swimming to Lake Burwain once the water temperature has risen above 13⁰C.
