A NEW martial arts club open has opened in Pendle.

The opening day saw children have a training session watched by those who attended and club founder, 7th dan Mick O’Connor, demonstrate of KBR Jujitsu techniques which were carried out by the Senseis and some of the older juniors.

Club spokesman Vincent Masih said those who attended were impressed with the level of skill on display and thanked Mr Stephenson, members of the local youth council and sister clubs Pendle Martial Arts (Brierfield) and Kanokwai Budo Renmai Jujitsu (Colne) for their contributions on the day.

Mr Stephenson said: “It was great to meet Bernard Variyam, Vincent Masih and all the other instructors and young people at the KBR Jujitsu Club. I have already visited some other great martial arts groups throughout Pendle, so it is great to see another one opening, this time at the Zone. I am sure this new club will prove to be a great success and provides another option for young people in the local area.”

KBR classes are at The Zone on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm. Children’s sessions are from 11am to noon, while adult sessions are from noon to 1pm.

To contact the club, call Vincent Masih on 07515 928288, email kbrjujitsu@hotmail.co.uk or check out on Facebook www.facebook.com/kbr.jujitsu
