With the Midge Ure show on February 29th having been sold out for weeks, the intimate venue of Hurst Green Village Hall, near Clitheroe, is fast becoming a magnet for well-known musical artists.

In a major coup for the Ribble Valley, million selling band Dodgy are to play Hurst Green Village Hall on Saturday March 29th.

To launch their Greatest Hits compilation album, Dodgy have chosen just three intimate venues around the country to get “up close and personal” with their legions of fans. The line-up features the three original members of the band who have 12 chart singles to their name, including the clasic anthems “Staying Out for the Summer” and “Good Enough”.

The band, who have headlined the Glastonbury Festival, have a reputation for providing some of the best live shows around.

Promoter Carl Barrow, from Goosnargh-based Hollow Horse Events, urged people to buy tickets as soon as possible for this show and also for the previous night’s gig at the same venue, when Mercury Award nominated Ian Mcnabb returns to the Ribble Valley. The former Icicle Works frontman has, for the past couple of years, headlined nights at Ribfest in Chipping and has vowed to return each year to entertain the crowd in an intimate venue as opposed to the larger city centre venues he would normally play.

Playing songs from his band days and his solo career, this is a night which is sure to be a highlight of 2014. Ian rarely sticks to a set list and his rapport with his audience is legendary.

Tickets priced at £14 for Dodgy and £10 for Ian McNabb are available via www.ticketweb.co.uk or for more information on these gigs call Carl Barrow on 07824488410.
