A cuppa full of fun was enjoyed by hundreds in Sough on Sunday when the park hosted its annual Teas event.
Organised by members of the Colne and West Craven Cancer Research UK branch, 2014’s Teas in the Park event was held under bright sunshine and managed to raise a total of £1,700.
As well as the homemade food and produce, which was lapped up in double time as usual, there were a host of activities and games for families to enjoy.
Fund-raising stalls were also at the event with one being run by cancer survivor Amelia Norcross (10) from Earby, who was selling bracelets.
One of the events organiser, Margaret Cannon, said: “It was such a lovely, lovely day. It’s about raising money for Cancer Research UK but it’s also about the community event.
“Earby Brass Band were brilliant and it was very busy. The people doing the teas were run off their feet. The teas and homemade food went down a treat. And no event is complete without a tombola.
“I would like to thank everybody. People have been very generous with their time and money, especially for such a good and worthwhile cause.”
Colne and West Craven group is currently selling tickets for a big raffle with top prizes including a hot air balloon trip, a studio photography session courtesy of Create Studios and headphones from Harry Garlick.
