A talented youngster’s creative skills have seen her gain roaring success on national television and radio.

Hannah Wilson (8), of Keighley Road, Colne, was left delighted when her unique papier-mâché dinosaur earned her a mention on Blue Peter.

The Broadway Primary School pupil had made the figure as part of her dinosaur project at school– cleverly donning it with a pair of trainers and renaming it a “Boltasaurus” when it became a little top-heavy.

Her creation impressed BBC producers and presenters so much that she also featured on BBC Radio Two, with presenter Helen Skelton telling sprinter Usain Bolt about Hannah and the “world’s fastest dinosaur” on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show.

Hannah’s mum Erika Wilson said: “We are all very proud of her. I got a phone call from the producer of Blue Peter. He wanted our permission to show Hannah’s picture on the show as they were doing a feature on dinosaurs and were visiting the Natural History Museum.”

As a result of her efforts Hannah also bagged herself a Blue Peter badge, meaning she can now visit over 200 places in the UK for free. The sporty star will visit Chessington World of Adventures in her next half term.
