Video: Nelson marks Lancashire Day 2014

Crowds flocked to Nelson town centre on Saturday as the town marked Lancashire Day 2014 in style.

This year the Lancashire Day Proclamation wwas read by Town Councillor Tony Edwards and live acts filled the stage, with performances from Phil Knight, local acoustic duo, Ross and Lily, the Bacup-band Crashlanding (who performed last year), Imogen Story and the Phil Knight experience, a Blues Brothers tribute and Nelson Brass.

As well as stalls dotted in the town centre, there was entertainment for children with three roundabouts, a bouncy castle and a road train.

The event will also included the switch-on of Nelson’s town centre Christmas lights with a visit from Father Christmas.
