Two very special artistes will be appearing at the latest charity concert at Padiham Unitarian Church this Saturday, March 2nd.
Maya Irgalina is an incredibly talented pianist international repute. Originally from Belarus, she has played all over Europe and China after a glittering academic career which saw her win an array of distinctions and prizes. She is a Yeoman of the prestigious Worshipful Company of Musicians.
Maya will be joined by Kristine Healy, a flautist from Australia who has had an equally gifted and diverse career thus far. Their programme will cover composers such as Bach and Schubert as well as more contemporary pieces.
The regular concerts at the church always draw a good audience, with many making the short journey from Ribble Valley, and with musicians of this calibre it is easy to understand why.
Sacturday’s concert starts at 7-30 p.m. and admission is £7, with proceeds going to the North West Air Ambulance, The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and the church. For more details call concert organiser Barry Brown on 01282 773336 or e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
