A talented Langho teenager came under the national spotlight on Saturday after she wowed Britain’s Got Talent judges with her own song.

Eighteen-year-old Ella Shaw sang an original song “Summertime” and managed to receive a standing ovation.

According to a tabloid newspaper, Ella said: “I’ve been gigging up and down the country. I’ve been doing all the gigs where nobody wants to listen so to perform at the Royal Variety Show in front of the Royal Family would be so amazing.”

“Ever since I was younger my parents have been my cheerleaders, so to speak.

“I just one day want to give it back to them, what they’ve invested in me, the time and everything really.”

Alesha Dixon said: “Ella, I love your voice. It was a very subtle, intimate performance and the fact that you’re here doing original material is admirable and I think you’re one to watch.”

David Walliams: “It is very brave to come on and sing an original song. You’re so young and yet you’re already on your way to being a star.”

Amanda Holden: “It’s like a really bright happy voice that you’ve got. It was beautiful.” Simon Cowell: “You’ve got what I call a very current voice. I think you’re mega, mega talented.” All that praise and Ella got her four yeses and a place in the next round.

Ella, who is a former St Augustine’s RC High School pupil, has auditioned for several talent shows. The singing sensation previously took part in Ribble Valley’s talent contest “GRAB” event and also performed at the Manchester Arena show in front of 14,000 people ahead of stars Olly Murs, Union J, and The Wanted.
