A VERY popular “Guitar for Beginners” group course will be running again this autumn in the Ribble Valley

The weekly two-hour classes begin on Monday, September 26th, at 6-30 p.m. at Salesbury Memorial Hall and will run for eight weeks.

The course is aimed at absolute beginners who want to learn the basics in a fun and friendly environment. As well as having a steel or nylon strung acoustic guitar to play, learners should have a desire to strum or pick along an accompaniment to a song or melody. A sense of humour is also useful.

A “graduate” of the most recent course commented: “This is a great way to get to grips with the first steps in playing guitar. The sessions are relaxed and great fun and the tutor, Graham, takes them along at just the right pace.”

The course is run by Lancashire Adult Learning and if you want to enrol or find out more, ring 01257 276719 or 0845 6001331 quoting “Guitar for Beginners 1JC001”.

You can also ring the tutor, Graham, for more information or an informal chat on 01254 853929 or 0781 5522925.

Lancashire Adult Learning also runs a follow-on course – Guitar for Beginners Stage 2 1JC004 – with classes held at Salesbury Memorial Hall on Wednesday evenings.

If you are a Primary School Teacher or Nursery School Teacher and would like to enrol on a “fast-track” course – Easy Guitar For Entertaining Children, comprising three two-hour sessions on Saturday Mornings in Chorley – ring the Lancashire Adult Learning numbers above and quote course code 1JC005.
