The sun came out and temperatures rocketed for the annual Ribble Valley Beat-Herder Festival.

Photographer Anthony Farran was on hand at the festival site in Sawley to capture the action as hundreds of revellers soaked up the atmosphere, as well the rays over three days!

Musical treats included Jimmy Cliff, disco master Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, Roni Size, a Groove Armada DJ set, The Lancashire Hot Pots, Doctor and the Medics.

Set across a dozen stages, some buried in the Sawley Woods, the Beat-Herder art gurus designed an old Victorian street (Quality Street), complete with functioning bookshops, sweetshops, a barber’s and a chapel with a bell tower and stained glassed doors.
