a MINISTER who is also a stage actor has visited Colne to lay a wreath on the grave of Titanic orchestra leader Wallace Hartley.
The Rev. Stephen Sorby, who is a chaplain for National Rail based in Darlington, was in town to see the grave and the bust of Wallace in Albert Road as he prepares to play the part of the Colne-born violinist in “Titanic: the Musical Centenary Gala”, a production at the York Theatre Royal next month.
“I thought it would be a nice gesture to come over and lay flowers as a mark of respect,” said Mr Sorby.
