ONE of Pendle’s most beautiful buildings - The Muni Theatre - has had a spring clean after the harsh winter weather had left its mark.

Colne’s listed building is a popular landmark in the town which welcomes thousands of visitors throughout the year.

Pendle Leisure Trust enlisted the help of Colne company Unique Clean to blast the building and the pavement in front and prepare it for the coming months.

Mr Phil Storey, chief executive of Pendle Leisure Trust, said: “We felt the exterior of the building was looking a bit weathered and with it being one of the town’s landmarks and home to numerous high-profile events throughout the year, it needs to be kept to a high standard.

“Also, with two momentous anniversaries being marked this year and expected extra visitors to the town, we wanted it to look its best.”

And once Colne in Bloom has added some colour to the planters outside, the Muni in Albert Road will be restored to its former glory!
