MP's personal tribute for well known Nelson bakery boss
Pendle MP Mr Andrew Stephenson said he had enjoyed discussing a range of business issues with Mr Oddie, who was at the helm of the Nelson based business that has shops across Pendle, Burnley and Padiham, and his passion for the local area "always shone through."
Mr Stephenson said: "“Bill did so much to keep Oddie’s going through tough times, ensuring its long-term future.

Mr Oddie had worked for the family firm which was founded by his grandfather for 50 years, 30 years of them as managing director.
Bill was passionate about cricket and was a member of Lancashire County Cricket Club for many years.
An attacking batsman he also played for Nelson in the Lancashire League, batting against the famous Australian fast bowler Dennis Lilee who was playing for Haslingden.
Bill was also a former player, chairman and president with Belvedere and Calder Vale Sports Club.
