Every child in the school created an Easter basket filled with a chocolate egg and an Easter card to bring a smile to the faces of local residents.

A school spokesman said: "As a Catholic school we were in school during Holy Week enjoying lots of Easter activities. Every child in the school from nursery to Year 6 made an Easter basket and an Easter card. David and Gill Jacques from St John's Church in the village came to an assembly at the end of the week to collect 100 gift bags which contained the cards and baskets filled with a chocolate egg.

"They distributed these to local households who have been isolating and missing their families during the past 12 months of the pandemic."
