Covid cases and deaths continue to fall in Pendle

No deaths from Covid-19 have been recorded in Pendle for four successive weeks, while cases and the rate of infection have reduced for the third week in a row.

The total number of cases in Pendle since the start of the pandemic is now 9,260.

Pendle recorded 25 new cases in the last week. The infection in the borough since the start of the pandemic is 23.9 per 100,000 people, while 239 people have sadly lost their lives to the virus.

Now that lockdown restrictions are easing, Pendle Council is continuing to urge people to keep following stay safe advice and rules to stop the spread of the virus.

People should get tested for the virus even if they don't have symptoms of Covid-19 because one in three people who have the virus don't have symptoms.
