Following the Government’s announcement on Monday, Pendle Leisure Trust has confirmed it will be able to reopen some of its facilities in the coming months.

Abiding by the roadmap for easing restrictions in England, and if everything goes according to plan with the four step rules, the Trust’s facilities will be reopening in stages, starting at the end of next month.

Marsden Park Golf Course - which is operated by the Trust’s partner, Reevolution Golf - will reopen on March 29th.

The pools and gyms at Pendle Wavelengths, Pendle Leisure Centre and West Craven Sports Centre will reopen on Monday, April 12th; along with the gym and track at Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre, the Feelgood Factory, children’s swimming lessons and beauty treatments at Inside Spa.

On Monday, May 17th, Inside Spa’s Wellness Experience will reopen and fitness classes, organised indoor sports and pool-based classes will resume.

The Muni Theatre will reopen in September, with a full Autumn/Winter programme of shows and events. The ACE Centre will remain closed until further notice, as this is still being used as a Covid-19 Testing Centre.

In the coming weeks, all centres will be thoroughly deep cleaned and staff training will take place to make sure everything is ready to reopen safely in April.

Alison Goode, Chief Executive of Pendle Leisure Trust, said: “This is the news we have been waiting for and we are delighted we can eventually reopen our leisure facilities.

“Being classed in Step 2 shows the Government recognises how important physical activity is for people’s health and well-being – although we are a little frustrated we cannot open all our facilities and activities at the same time.

“Our main priority is our customers and we will once again make sure all the correct procedures are in place so they feel safe to return.”
