Pendle's Covid cases continuing to fall

The Covid-19 statistics for Pendle over the last seven days show that things are again moving in the right direction.

The number of cases has been steadily reducing over the last two weeks and are down from last week by 18.8%.

The infection rate has been going down over the last three weeks. And there have been no deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test in the last two weeks.

There were 26 new cases recorded, with the infection rate now at 29.3 per 100,000 people. In Pendle there have been 9,605 cases since the start of the pandemic and 239 deaths.

Pendle Council is continuing to urge people to get tested even if they don’t have symptoms. But the council also reminding people that if they have any of the main symptoms of Covid-19 it's vital that they self-isolate and get tested.
