Climb Pendle Hill and help Pendleside Hospice

PENDLE Hill is the focus for a sponsored walk on Sunday, October 30th.

The walk is being organised by Pendleside Hospice and fund-raisers are inviting families and individuals to join them in the challenge to climb the area’s highest peak.

Taking place between 9-30 a.m. and 11-30 a.m., participants are encouraged to take part in seasonal fancy dress with prizes for the best adult and children’s costumes.

Families are encouraged to join the five-mile fun walk. Children must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. The Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue will be based at the starting and finishing point of Barley Village Hall and will support the hospice volunteers who will be marshalling the route to ensure participants’ safety.

Local estate agents Pettys are sponsoring the Pendleside Hospice fund-raising initiative.

Entry is £5 per person and every walker will receive refreshments, a medal and pie and peas at the end of the walk. Register early to avoid disappointment, online at www.pendleside.org.uk or telephone 440120 to book or request registration forms.
