Clitheroe group prove they have the write stuff at book launch
The occasion was marked at a special event at Clitheroe Library, where writers read out extracts of their work.
The book, titled The Word’s Out, features short stories and poems written by members of the group and attendees of their workshops.

Hide AdSpeaking after the launch, writing group co-ordinator Katie Swingewood said: “Our anthology has been really well received so far and we are all very proud of it.
“The Word’s Out features a fantastic selection of imaginative, nostalgic and topical poetry and prose which demonstrates how diverse our writers are.
“We are currently open for new members and I hope that the anthology inspires others to come along and join us at our monthly meetings.”
Topics featured in the book include the north-south divide, fracking, loss and even Ribble Valley highwayman, Ned King.
