Belvedere Manor, in Gibfield Road, opened its doors on Wednesday and is already sparking interest from local residents.

It forms part of an £8 million development, offers residential, dementia and respite care, and boasts facilities including a coffee shop, hairdressers, orangery and a dedicated suite for residents with dementia.

Angela Swift, managing director of Silk Healthcare, said: “Following on from the success of Heather Grange, our care home in Burnley, we are delighted to officially open the first phase of a much needed care facility for Pendle.

“Belvedere Manor is expected to create up to 100 jobs for local people.

“The overwhelming interest in the home prior to the opening has far exceeded our expectations proving our reputation for excellent quality care.

“We hope the next phase of the development will further benefit the Pendle community and have chosen Pendle to launch our first care village, comprising flats and bungalows to be linked to Belvedere Manor.

“Plans are currently being considered by the council and we are sure everyone will see the huge benefit this entire development will bring to the Pendle area.”
