Local singers Norman and Ingrid Cumming with their band “Hiraeth” will be at St Joseph’s Community Centre in Barnoldswick on Saturday.

The band will be bringing their latest venture “A Song for all Seasons” two years after their last performance in the town.

“We are jokingly referring to this as our world tour”, says Norman, a singer-songwriter, who is also the minister of three local Baptist churches – Barnoldswick, Earby and Salterforth.

“But the reality is that we are a group of far-flung friends who get together to make music from time to time. We last performed in Barnoldswick two years ago, playing our Christmas-themed folk concert entitled ‘Not So Bleak!’

“This time we are taking a musical journey through the year – a celebration of the seasons.”

The concert starts at 7-30pm. Admission is free, and there will be an opportunity at the end of the evening to make a donation towards the Barnoldswick Baptist Church Roof Fund.

Mr Cumming added: “At the moment, when it rains, you need an umbrella inside the church as well as outside!

“Our small congregation has to raise £16,500 for repairs which are being carried out before the worst of the winter weather arrives, so a concert themed around the seasons is highly appropriate.”
