Having whet their musical appetites, a local acoustic duo have expanded their talents into the charitable realm, swimming 5,000m as part of their 'Aqua Warriors' fundraising team.
Forming the mighty Aqua Warriors along with their friend, James Stovold, the double act Alexander Di Vito and Tristesse James swam an astounding 200 lengths, smashing their target by completing the challenge in under three hours.
Taking on the arduous splash-task on Friday, April 7th at Pendle Leisure Centre on Crown Way in Colne, the three swimmers swam the five kilometers (3.1 miles) to raise money for Marie Curie.
Tristesse was the last to swim her 70 lengths, which she did in under 55 minutes, helping the team to raise over £500. Donations for Marie Curie Cancer Care are open until 30th April, with all support appreciated in the pair's efforts to help make a difference to terminally ill cancer patients.
