Police are investigating an alleged arson attack after a car was set alight on a driveway.
The incident happened between 2am and 3am at a house in Reedfield, Reedley, yesterday.
Detectives believe an offender approached the Ford Fiesta which was parked on the driveway and poured an accelerant over it before setting it on fire.
The offender then made off from the scene.
Det. Insp. Julie Cross, of Lancashire Police’s CID, said: “This was a deliberate attack which, because of its proximity to several houses, could have had far worse consequences.
“We are determined to find the person responsible and are urging anybody with information to contact us.
“Somebody may have witnessed the incident or seen a suspicious vehicle or people near to the address during the time period in question.
“If you think you may have information about this incident, please get in touch.”
