The Barnoldswick Seniors’ Pop-In group marked the Queen’s 90th birthday with an afternoon of pomp and pageantry at the St Joseph’s Parish Centre on Monday.
Eighty attended the regal bash between 12 noon and 4pm where savoury food was provided by Barlic Bites and volunteers provided the sweet treats including gateaux and trifles.
Those attending wore red, white and blue clothing and Union flag hats to top off the look and there was music, singing and vigorous flag waving as guests got into the spirit of the occasion.
Audrey Smith said: “We had a great time and everybody enjoyed themselves.
“We had some beautiful red and white flowers bound in blue ribbon which were auctioned off and made £57 for the group.
“The members are Royalists and patriotic. We had a lovely time and it was good fun.”
