Children and families are getting excited for a summer of fun with the return of Barnoldswick Beach next week.

All the old favourites will return to the best urban beach for miles around, with donkey days, surfing, Punch and Judy and a small surprise for visitors to this year’s event.

Families are welcome to have a sneak preview at the ‘Barnoldswick Together’ family fun day afternoon this Sunday between 2pm and 6pm.

Otherwise the official opening is on Monday at 10am and the famous golden sands will be open until Saturday, August 27th.

David Whipp said: “It’s a delight to see the joy on children’s faces when they come to play on the sand in our Town Square.

“We’re looking forward to welcome thousands of visitors during the four weeks that the beach is open.”
