Blaze in derelict pub tackled by firefighters
Fire crews from Nelson and Burnley were called to a fire in a derelict pub on Friday afternoon.
Smoke was reported coming from the first floor window of the former Marsden Cross Inn pub in Higher Reedley Road, Brierfield, at around 5-30pm.
Crews entered the propoerty by a triple extension ladder and used a hosereel to extinguish the blaze. They also used a ventilation unit to clear away smoke from the premises.
