THE Friends of Heyhead Park in Brierfield invite you along to their annual fun day tomorrow.
Between 11 a.m. and 4-30 p.m., the park will be buzzing with activities the whole family can enjoy.
The Mad Hatter will be on hand to keep children entertained, and there’ll also be a bouncy castle.
Anyone can have a go at the willow weaving and kite making workshops taking place throughout the event.
There’ll be charity stalls and a tombola.
On the tennis courts, there will be tennis coach sessions, and Brierfield Celtic FC are running a mini football tournament.
Coun. Nadeem Ahmed, who represents Parks and Recreation in Pendle, said: “What a great reason to get out in one of Pendle’s beautiful parks!
“The Heyhead Park fun day has something for all the family to enjoy, from children’s entertainment to sports coaching.
“Let’s just hope the rain holds off!”
This year’s Heyhead Park Fun Day is being held in memory of John Bradley, a former Friend of the park who sadly passed away last year.
Tom Whittaker, from the Friends of Heyhead Park, said: “I personally knew John for many years and he was like a brother to me.
“He cared so much for Heyhead Park; it seems fitting to hold this year’s fun day in his memory.”
