Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson is seeking the views of residents in rural parts of Pendle on Broadband and mobile coverage ahead of a debate next Thursday.
Good broadband and mobile coverage is vital and is becoming increasingly important for businesses, communities and public services. Britain has been lagging behind on provision in many areas, however very little good data exists on where coverage is poor.
The MP said: “It would be very useful if people living in the villages and rural areas of Pendle could give me an indication of what the mobile coverage and broadband speeds are in their area so I can feed it into the debate this coming Thursday. It will also be very important for the Ofcom consultation which closes at the end of this month and for which MPs have been asked to provide information.”
Andrew has formally supported the holding of this debate as it will provide MPs with a unique chance to press the case for better Broadband and mobile coverage across their areas.
