Brothers to cycle Leeds and Liverpool Canal for hospice

TWO Pendle brothers and two of their friends are to cycle the length of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal at the end of this month to raise money for charity.

Nick Hirst, of Spring Yard, Colne, and his brother Neil, of Brookfield Way, Earby, will cycle from Liverpool to Leeds on July 31st with friends Rob Mason and Steve Howard, from Blackburn.

They anticipate the ride will take them between 17 and 18 hours and all money received will go to East Lancashire Hospice’s roof appeal.

The four chose the hospice as Rob’s father was a patient there and decided to raise funds as a thank you for the support he received.

They are aiming to raise £1,000 and anyone wishing to support them can do so via

Nick and Neil work at Pendle Slot Racing, Nelson, and details can be obtained by calling them on 612418.
