As part of the nationwide initiative, highly-skilled trainers from Themis at Burnley College brought innovative, industry-related activities into the classroom, while Schools Liaison officers delivered inspiring presentations on apprenticeships and how they can be a springboard to becoming what they call a #futureboss.

With Themis visiting Ribblesdale High School in Clitheroe, Sir John Thursby Community College in Burnley, and Unity High School in Burnley, top local employers also visited their HQ on the Burnley College campus for an Employer Expo.

“Themis Apprentices are making a huge difference in businesses – big and small – across the North West every day," said Simon Jordan, Director of Themis at Burnley College. "They’re innovative, motivated, and dedicated.

"In National Apprenticeship Week we took the opportunity to take that message out to schools and let pupils know that they, too, have the potential to become a Themis Apprentice and start their career journey to becoming a #futureboss," he added.

Themis offers Apprenticeships in more than 50 industry areas, including aeronautical, mechanical, and composite engineering. Visit www.burnley.ac.uk/themis, email [email protected], or call 01282 733005 for more information.
