The 45,000 square-foot site has seen the business, which was established in 2005 and which provides refrigerated vans as well as carrying out fridge-van conversions and offering van-insulating kits, blossom as it now employs over 70 people.

The expansion was executed as part of a strategic plan to deal with the company’s £15million-worth of annual orders, whilst also accommodating the average 40% year-on-year growth.

CoolKit Managing Director, Rupert Gatty, said: “We can only give credit to the skills, dedication and commitment of our entire staff for our ongoing success, which we believe is proof that East Lancashire is a great place to do business.”

With space for 200 vehicles, the increased manufacturing capacity has helped CoolKit expand and further improve order turnaround to satisfy the myriad large contracts already underway.
