Councillors have given the green light to a plan to convert a Barnoldswick club.

Applicant William Brown’s had applied to convert the Strategy in Manchester Road from a private club to ground floor restaurant with four one bedroom flats upstairs.

The plan was approved by Pendle Council’s West Craven Committee at its November meeting.

Coun. Ken Hartley had concerns regarding the privacy of neighbouring property’s garden from an external rear staircase which had been a ground for objection.

However, the meeting heard that this issue had been resolved with the submission of amended plans to enclose the stairs.
