NATIONAL sofa giant DFS is soon to open a store in Colne, creating 19 new jobs.
The company is on the lookout for Colne’s finest retail stars before it opens its doors in October.
The new store will be located in Boundary Retail Park in Corporation Street, on the site of the former Marks and Spencer outlet.
Earlier this year bosses at Marks and Spencers closed down their outlet, keeping instead their base in nearby Bounday Mill.
A mixture of full, part-time and weekend positions will be available at the new DFS store, including management, sales, warehouse, driving and service uphosterer job roles.
Adam Hankinson, Area Sales Manager, says: “Candidates who are thinking of applying for any of the new roles must have passion, energy and, most important of all, must care about delivering great service.
“Our customers have come to expect expert advice and exceptional customer service from the DFS teams across the UK, so we are looking for the best.”
The successful applicants will undergo a rigorous training programme to ensure they know their chaises from their corner sofas and can give the best advice and service to the local community.
Mr Hankinson said: “What’s great about coming to work for DFS is you don’t need to be an expert when you start.
“All successful candidates will go through a rigorous intensive training programme that covers topics such as design, interiors, fabrics and of course customer service.
“This enables new team members to offer expert advice, fully understand customer needs and deliver a level of quality customer service that is second to none.”
