Pendle Leisure Trust’s Inside Spa has been short-listed in the Lancashire Business View Red Rose Awards, which recognises business success stories throughout Lancashire.

The awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of companies in the county and recognise and reward those that have not only survived, but thrived, in challenging times.

The Inside Spa facility at Pendle Wavelengths in Leeds Road, Nelson, has just been expanded - bringing with it a number of jobs and revenue to the town.

Since it opened in July, 2007, Inside Spa has attracted thousands of visitors – both locally and from further afield - to its relaxing facilities where people can enjoy a complete Spa experience and a range of body and beauty treatments.

The recent expansion includes a new manicure and pedicure bay, four new treatment rooms and a relaxation room.

There are 18 categories in this year’s Red Rose Awards. Pendle Leisure Trust submitted entries in two categories - Tourism and Leisure Business of the Year and Social Enterprise Award.

Inside Spa is up against five other local businesses in each of the categories.

The entries were selected by an experienced and high-profile judging panel, featuring some of the region’s leading business figures.

Sue Slater, Executive Manager of Operations for Pendle Leisure Trust, said: “We are thrilled to have been short-listed in these prestigious awards. I understand the standards of entry were extremely high, which is an achievement in itself.”

The winners will be announced during an awards dinner in Blackpool on March 31st.
