Staff at Lloyds BMW and Mini in Colne chose Pendleside Hospice as their charity of the year 2015 and raised £1,479 by taking on challenges and hosting open days.
They were also one of the sponsors for the annual car raffle which raised £26,300 and supplied the fantastic Mini One.
Lindsey Shaw, customer relationship manager at Lloyds said: “We chose Pendleside Hospice as our charity for 2015 as we decided to support a local charity.
“After speaking to various staff members it soon became apparent that Pendleside was the obvious choice. Soon after making the decision three members of the Lloyd Colne team volunteered to take on a gruelling cycle challenge, visiting all of the Lloyd BMW and Mini sites covering 228 miles in two days. Many customers, staff and local companies kindly sponsored them and they raised just under £1,100.
“The other main fund-raising event in 2015 was the annual Christmas Market at our dealership. This was a great success and all money raised on the day was donated to Pendleside Hospice. We have enjoyed working alongside the team at Pendleside in 2015 and we aim to raise even more money in 2016”.
