The annual Brierfield Model Railway exhibition is now only a matter of days away.
This year’s show, which takes place at St Luke’s Church Hall this weekend, will feature a wide variety of displays including models of Earby and Helmshore stations as they were in the days of steam, a modern layout “Ravens Grove” with stock in today’s colourful liveries and an attractive narrow gauge layout “Pont Newydd”.
Alongside these will be a tramway layout and a modern image branch line terminus “Aynee”. Early model railways will feature on “Brier Grove” running equipment from Hornby Dublo and there will be a chance for younger enthusiasts to try their hand at driving a train themselves.
Three traders will be present selling all manner of model railway equipment and there will be a range of surplus equipment available on the society’s second hand stall.
Full refreshments will be available. The exhibition is raising funds for St Luke’s Church and Church Hall. Opening times are 10am – 5pm tomorrow and 10am – 4pm on Sunday. Adults £3.50; children £2; seniors £3; families £10. For further Information ring David Carter on 07770 331348.
