£22,000 stolen from Colne home

THIEVES broke into a house in Paddock Top Mews, Colne, stealing goods and cash valued at £22,000.

The incident happened between 8-30 p.m. on Friday, September 16th, and 4 a.m. the next day.

Offenders used a wheelbarrow to make off with a large safe that contained £16,000 in cash, a Rolex watch valued at £5,000 and jewellery.

PCSO Carla Pickard said: “It looks as though someone knew the money was there as they came prepared. Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time should contact us on 472441 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
