Lee Mason was caught on CCTV after the incident at The Big Window in Burnley. He had been the only man shown on footage going into the toilet and then leaving when the window was broken.

Mason set off running when police arrived but admitted what he had done to a witness, Burnley magistrates were told.

Mr Kamran Yousaf, defending, told the hearing Mason's partner had wanted to leave the premises, he didn't and he took his anger out on the window. The solicitor added: "He didn't intend to break it. He accepts it was reckless. He is sorry."

The defendant, of Raglan Road, Burnley, admitted criminal damage, worth £800, on March 5th. He was fined £120 and told to pay £200 compensation. The Bench allowed a conditional discharge he was subject to continue.
