Burnley men arrested over fatal Christmas crash that killed 22-year-old Lewis Taylor

Three men have been arrested over the crash death of 22-year-old motorcyclist Lewis Taylor, who was killed in Burnley last Christmas.

The men, from Burnley, are aged 25, 27, and 28, and have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, disqualified driving and perverting the course of justice.

They were arrested yesterday (Wednesday, March 17), following a three-month investigation into the crash, and have since been released under investigation.

Lewis Taylor died after his motorcycle was involved in a crash with a Toyota Yaris in Harold Street on December 23 last year.

Emergency services attended and found Mr Taylor with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Yesterday , police arrested the three men in connection with the crash.

Sgt Lee Harris, of Tac Ops, said: "My thoughts first and foremost remain with Mr Taylor’s loved ones.

"While we have made a number of arrests our enquiries are very much ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who has any information about this collision to come forward and speak to us.

"I would be particularly keen to speak to anyone who has any dashcam footage or CCTV."
