Illuminati manager James Gibb said: "Unfortunately, we had an incident in the bar a few weeks ago. Our door staff couldn’t have dealt with it any quicker. As soon as we noticed the injured lad he was asked if he would like first aid but refused it.

"We still tried to help him but he exited the building and I think some time later his friend convinced him outside to ring an ambulance.

"We investigated the CCTV straight away and saw that somebody had punched him once but by this point a few minutes had passed and the culprit was nowhere to be seen.

"We pride ourselves on being a nice and respectable venue but over the Christmas period you get the once-a-year drinkers in who obviously cause issues and ruin it for everyone."

Anyone with information, or who recognises the man, is urged to call police on 101 quoting crime reference EF1714027.
