Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to following a robbery in Nelson last month.

The incident happened between 5-15 and 5-30pm on Thursday, November 17th when the victim, a 19-year-old man, was approached by two men as he walked through an underpass near Pendle Street.

It is believed the two offenders asked the victim for money and when the victim got out his wallet one of the men grabbed him by the arm and snatched the wallet from his hand. The victim then handed over his phone before the pair ran off.

DC Hannah Tofalos, of Burnley CID, said: “We are keen to speak to the male pictured in the CCTV image as we believe he may have some information which could assist with our enquiries. If you recognise him or have any information about the incident then please contact us.”

A 17-year-old boy from Nelson was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
