POLICE in Colne are appealing for information about the theft of a mobile phone from a shop in the town.
At around 9-35am on Thursday, September 6th, a woman was in the One Stop Shop in Albert Road and approached the counter to pay for her shopping.
As she did, put her phone on the counter. She left the shop with her shopping but without collecting her phone and it was picked up by another customer but has not been returned to her or the shop. Although the phone was not of great monetary value, it contains very sentimental messages and so she is very keen for the phone to be returned.
Officers have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the offence and are urging anyone with any information to contact them.
