Detectives appeal for help to trace suspected burglar


Detectives are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a man who is charged with three burglaries in Nelson who failed to appear at court.

Lee Roberts (33), from Burnley, was due to appear at court charged with three counts of burglary in Nelson committed in September, 2013. A warrant for his arrest was issued on December 6th.

Roberts is described as being of slim build, around 6ft 2ins tall with a North-West accent.

He has blue eyes and short dark brown hair. He has signs of the zodiac tattoos on his right arm.

He has previously lived in the Burnley area but his current whereabouts are unknown.

Sgt Paul Gaynor of Burnley police said: “If anybody knows where Roberts is currently or if they have been in contact with him recently, I would urge them to contact police on 101 quoting log reference LC-20131223-0533 or Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.”
