A man has been jailed after he was caught with a cigarette packet containing heroin and crack cocaine.
Syed Zohaib Bukhari, of Heyhead Street, Brierfield, appeared at Burnley Crown Court in February where he was sentenced to 42 months in prison.
Bukhari was arrested in October 2015, after officers stopped a car in suspicious circumstances in the Brunswick street area of Nelson.
After a search officers discovered a cigarette packet containing heroin and crack cocaine under the back wheel of the car, which was suspected to have been discarded by one of the men.
Despite saying it did not belong to him, Bukhari was found guilty of possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
A police spokesman said: "We will continue to do all we can to remove drugs and those who deal them from our streets and I urge anyone with any concerns or information to contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
