Five men accused of being involved in a road rage incident in which the alleged victim was said to have been pulled from his van and attacked, have appeared in court.

Burnley magistrates were told how Paul Duffield was said to have suffered a bust nose and lip and missiles were allegedly thrown at the vehicle during the incident on Colne Road, Earby, on June 27th, last year.

Mohib Gul (19) of Beech Grove, Shakeel Khan (23) of Fourth Avenue, Ahsan Rahman (24) of Westfield Crescent, Zakariyyaa Ur Rahman (21) of Quaker Street and Afshan Rehman (21) of Iqbal Court, are all from Bradford.

They face allegations of criminal damage to the Ford Transit, to the tune of £1,000 and assaulting Mr Duffield, causing him actual bodily harm.

The defendants all indicated not guilty pleas. The Bench decided the case should be heard at Burnley Crown Court and the men were unconditionally bailed until a pre-trial preparation hearing on August 20th.
