Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Burnley.
The incident happened at around 12-40am on Monday, November 7th when the 54-year-old victim withdrew £150 from a cash machine at the Post Office in Coal Clough Lane.
As he walked away he was approached by two men who demanded the money from him. When he refused to hand it over he was punched and the men stole the cash before running off down Beverley Street.
The victim sustained injuries to his back as a result of the attack.
DS Louise Darcy of Burnley CID said: “If anyone was in the area around the time of this robbery and saw what happened I would urge them to get in touch. We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have any information about the men responsible. If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area on the night of this incident then please contact us.”
The men are described as white, in their early twenties and were both wearing red coats. One of the men had stubble. There may have also been a third man who ran off with them.
