Mystery surrounds the death of a woman who was found dead in a barn in Kelbrook.
Police were initially treating the death as suspicious after finding the body of a woman in her 40s on Saturday night.
A man was arrested and later released without charge and a file has now been passed to the coroner’s office.
Officers found the woman at around 9-30pm in a barn near to the Stone Trough pub. It appears she may have been wedged into the framework.
East Lancashire Coroner Mr Richard Taylor is expected to open and adjourn an inquest on Wednesday. A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Tuesday.
