Police arrest man for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs in Brierfield

Police arrested a man for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs in Brierfield over the weekend.

Officers from the Pendle Task Force made the arrest after they searched a vehicle on Chapel Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

One of the occupants, a 22-year-old man from Brierfield, was found to be in possession of a large amount of cash and a mobile phone. A further search at the police station revealed that the male had secreted an amount of class A drugs on his person.

A spokesman for the taskforce said they remain committed to tackling the issues caused by drug dealing within our communities and that they relied on 'eagle eyed' members of the public and the information they provide to tackle serious and organised crime.
