£50,000 digger found in Lancashire after being stolen from worksite 200 miles away

A £50,000 digger stolen from a worksite in Oxfordshire has been found in Lancashire.

The digger was located in Nelson at around 10pm yesterday (Thursday, March 11), just hours after it was reported stolen 200 miles away.

It had been fitted with a Tracker and Data Tag, which traced its movements, leading officers to swoop on the site where it had been hidden.

Lancashire Police has not said where the digger was found or whether anyone has been arrested. The force has been approached for more details.

But police did say the digger was found undamaged and has been returned to its owner.
