Woman admits cutting neighbour’s washing line

A 62-year-old woman cut her neighbour’s washing line and destroyed five plants in her garden, a court was told.

Susan Haworth, of Regent Street, Nelson, admitted criminal damage to the tune of £15 to property belonging to Susan Tomlinson on Thursday, July 30th.

Haworth was given a six month conditional discharge at Burnley Magistrates’ Court.

She was also ordered to pay £15 compensation, £50 court costs, a £15 victim surcharge and a £150 criminal court charge.
